Banned Posters

While the posting rules on a list's Options tab control who can post in general (anyone, subscribers only, or moderators only), the Banned Posters tab lets you block specific email addresses from posting — even if the general rules would otherwise allow them. Messages those addresses send to the list are rejected rather than distributed.
This is the tool to reach for when a discussion list allows subscribers to post but one particular subscriber has become a problem — sending off-topic posts, spam, or abusive messages. Banning their address stops their postings without unsubscribing them or locking down the list for everyone else.
To add a new banned poster, go to the Banned Posters tab, use the New button and enter the email address of the person who cannot post messages to the mailing list. Be sure to save your changes. Selecting an existing entry lets you edit or delete it — deleting a ban restores that address's normal posting privileges.
Just as with Allowed Posters, the Actions (⋮) menu on this tab offers Import CSV File and Export CSV File options, so a banned posters list can be built in bulk or carried over to other mailing lists you administer.
